Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Review plans, specs, and all job requirements

• Quantity take-offs

• Material, labor and equipment costs

• Solicit bids from trade partners

• Conceptual estimating

• Competitive bid comparisons

• Coordinate and review preliminary costs with Project Management team

• Coordinate job walks

• Provide estimates to jobsite staff once project is awarded

• Build strong relationships and network with trade partners and suppliers

Position Requirements

Required Experience, Education, & Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of industry experience.

• Knowledge of construction accounting, estimating, and scheduling

• Understand plans and specs

• Knowledge of construction software, i.e., Bluebeam, On Screen Takeoff, Sage Estimating

• Self-Starter and ability to initiate tasks as needed

• Written and verbal English language communication skills

• Basic computer skills

Preferred Skills, Experience & Education

• Bachelor’s Degree

• 1-3 years of field experience

• Knowledge of BIM

• Experience estimating self-performed work
