  • POSITION DESCRIPTION

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Identifies, recommends, develops, and implements programs that will contribute to the effectiveness and sustainability of supplier diversity/trade partner inclusion objectives
    • Partners with National DEI VP to ensure program consistency
    • Coordinates with Chambers of Commerce, workforce programs, etc to facilitate employer engagement opportunities, including but not limited to internships, apprenticeships, career awareness events, etc.
    • Obtains and tracks weekly onsite labor participation from contractors
    • Develops and maintains relationships with small and diverse businesses to ensure opportunities to participate in contracting and purchasing
    • Compiles appropriate documentation and resources for inclusion in vendor files and maintains records
    • Reviews bid and RFP solicitations
    • Participates in pre-bid meetings
    • Hosts, attends, and/or presents at supplier diversity conferences/outreach events
    • Participates in trade partner interviews during the selection process
    • Assist in managing the small and diverse business mentoring programs
    • Prepare reports and correspondence on a regular basis, and as directed or requested to keep management informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts
    • Partners with marketing to develop engaging content that supports key Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion messages and business objectives internally and externally
    • Represents the business by participating on boards, committees, and organizations focused on supplier diversity or construction
  • POSITION REQUIREMENTS

    Qualifications:

    • 5years of experience in community outreach, workforce development programs and supplier diversity.
    • Specific experience with supplier/subcontractor relations and diversity outreach within a geographical market.
    • Strong ability to analyze data, produce reports and track metrics
    • Track record of success in engaging business leaders and vendors on diversity initiatives.
    • Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders
    • Strong business acumen (financially and operationally).
    • Demonstrated collaborative team leadership and team building characteristics.
    • Ability to influence at senior levels in organizations (peers, customers, partners and within and outside of the company).
    • Excellent communication skills; good listener, written communication and presentation skills
