Training Pathways

Air Conditioning Trade Association (ACTA) is a non-profit, contractor member association. We serve free enterprise non-union HVAC, Mechanical, and Service Contractors, as well as their employees and the industrial suppliers that service them.

Throughout this 5-year apprenticeship program, students will receive over 880 classroom hours and 7,500 On-the-Job hours of specialized training and earn industry-recognized certifications in the sheet metal trade.

Our journeyman, apprenticeship, and continuing education training programs cultivate ever-growing expertise in air conditioning and refrigeration technologies, systems, and applications.

Weatherization Installers and Technicians perform a variety of activities to weatherize homes and make them more energy efficient. Duties include repairing windows, insulating ducts, and performing heating, ventilating, and air-conditioning (HVAC) work. May perform energy audits and advise clients on energy conservation measures.

Along with the on-the-job training you will attend school two nights a week at our state of the art training center.

Tri-Counties Sheet Metal Apprenticeship Program trains hundreds of quality craftsmen, offering industry-specific curriculum including heating, ventilating, air-conditioning, architectural and industrial sheet metal, kitchen equipment, specialty stainless steel work, custom fabricating, service, siding and metal roofing, testing and balancing and energy management and maintenance.
