  • Job Description

    Estimator/Senior Estimator

    Key Responsibilities:

    Technical Skills

    · Review project plans,
    specifications, and related documents to determine the scope of work and
    material requirements.

    · Prepare detailed and
    accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimates for equipment, materials, labor,
    and subcontractor services for all phases of construction.

    · Analyze blueprints,
    drawings, and technical documents to identify potential cost savings or project
    challenges.

    · Collaborate with Operations
    team to gather pricing and technical data for bids.

    · Develop and submit
    competitive bid proposals within deadlines.

    · Maintain and update
    pricing databases and cost history records for future reference.

    · Conduct site visits to
    assess conditions, verify measurements, and gather necessary data for accurate
    estimates.

    · Communicate with
    suppliers and vendors to obtain current pricing, availability, and delivery
    schedules.

    · Evaluate subcontractor
    bids for accuracy, scope coverage, and compliance with project specifications.

    · Support contract
    negotiation by providing cost breakdowns and clarifying scope of assumptions.

    · Track awarded projects
    to compare actual costs to estimates and identify areas for improvement.

    · Ensure estimates
    comply with company policies, safety standards, and client requirements.

    · Assist in developing
    budgets, schedules, and forecasts for ongoing and upcoming projects.

    · Prepare cost reports
    and participate in project handoffs to the operations team.

    · Create and champion
    estimating standard operating procedures .

  • Position Requirements

    Position Requirements

    Qualifications:

    · Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil
    engineering, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and
    experience).

    · Minimum of 5 years estimating experience in
    multi-family residential or commercial construction (10+ years estimating
    experience for a senior role).

    · Working knowledge of construction means, methods, and
    materials.

    · Proficiency in Autodesk
    programs such as BuildingConnected, ProEst and TradeTapp

    · Proficiency in Bluebeam, MS Excel and estimating
    software

    · Excellent analytical, organizational, problem-solving,
    decision-making and communication skills.

    · Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage
    multiple bids simultaneously.

    · Experience with podium, wrap-style multi-family, and
    K-12 projects.

    · Understand local building codes and permitting
    processes.

    · Comfortable utilizing construction management software
    (MS Project and Procore).

    Working Conditions:
