As a jointly administered labor-management training trust fund, we provide construction training to signatory contractors and LIUNA members in 12 counties in Southern California. Our training includes classroom instruction and practical application. Our goal is to provide students with a clear understanding of best practices in the construction industry and allow them to demonstrate their knowledge through hands-on training and assessments. With over 140 class options, our courses cover a diverse range of industries within the construction industry from environmental classes to safety classes such as OSHA 30 and Fall Protection.

We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Facility Maintenance Crew Member to join our team. This role is responsible for performing general facility upkeep, preventive maintenance, and repair tasks to ensure our buildings, grounds, and equipment remain safe, functional, and in good condition. The ideal candidate is a hands-on team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.

Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections of facilities, equipment, and systems to identify maintenance needs.
- Complete general repairs including painting, basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical tasks.
- Assist with HVAC, lighting, and other building systems under the supervision of licensed personnel when required.
- Maintain grounds, including landscaping, snow removal, and basic outdoor repairs.
- Perform preventive maintenance schedules on equipment and building systems.
- Monitor and report any safety hazards, damages, or issues to supervisors.
- Operate and maintain tools, equipment, and supplies safely and efficiently.
- Support setup and breakdown for events, furniture moves, and special projects.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and applicable building codes.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as needed.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent (technical training a plus).
- Previous experience in facility, building, or maintenance work preferred.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and mechanical systems.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Physically able to lift up to 90 lbs, climb ladders, and perform tasks in various environments (indoor/outdoor).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Valid driver’s license required.
