Local 761 provides apprenticeship training for individuals interested in becoming journeymen plumbers, pipefitters, and steamfitters.

Plumbers install, repair, service and maintain the piping and plumbing systems that deal with all aspects of potable water distribution, sanitary waste drainage, storm water systems, gas distribution, gray water, solar, hydraulic and desalination systems. Plumbers endeavor to provide the highest quality product that will minimize contamination of drinking water and to properly dispose of waste water. Plumbers also install life–saving systems that provide doctors and caregivers the necessary tools to help those in need of services in hospitals, dental offices, veterinarian hospitals and much more. These are just a few things that plumbers work with on a daily basis. With a growing focus on green technologies, water conservation and energy efficiency, the demand for plumbers will increase significantly in the years ahead.
