Apprentices are paid while they work and learn, with wages starting at forty percent of journeyman electrician wages and increasing five percent every six months, or one thousand hours worked. Current starting pay is 40% of Journeyman pay, plus health benefits(medical, dental & vision) once the apprentice accumulates 500 hours worked. Apprentices are required to pay work assessment which is 5% of their gross wage.
