Ironworkers Local 155 offers a 4-year apprenticeship with the opportunity to advance to journeyman status and prepares workers for a career that offers great wages and benefits. And while many in college sink into debt preparing for a career, Ironworker apprentices earn while they learn.

Ironworking has many sectors such as structural steel, architectural steel, rigging, welding and reinforcing steel. Structural steel covers structural-steel erection, plumb up and aligning structural steel, installing metal decking, erecting bridges and wind turbines. Architectural steel covers constructing curtain walls, skylights, storefronts, and entranceways. Rigging covers loading/unloading, moving and setting machinery and structural steel. Welding and burning are tools of the trade and necessary in all sectors. Reinforcing steel covers fabrication and installation of rebar, installation and stressing of post-tensioning cables.
